Health Canada Recollects THC-contained CBD Gel Capsules Sold by Zenabis

Recently, Health Canada has published a recall regarding the cannabis gel capsules that were incorrectly labeled and sold by Zenabis Global, British Columbia CBD producer.

On December 18, 2019, the issued recall consists of Namaste softgels by the company. According to Health Canada, a cannabis NB, New Brunwick’s retailer sold the products. The label on the package is of CBD Light gelcaps, but the units inside contain THC gelcaps.

Cannabidiol or CBD is a non-intoxicating cannabis-based compound that is used across the world for various wellness applications. On the other hand, THC is known for the psychoactive compound that makes the consumer feel high.

According to Health Canada, the incorrect capsules were sold in a packing of 15. It had a label which shows that it contains 0.19 mg of THC and 6.13 mg of CBD. But the actual ingredient quantity is 2.247 mg of THC and 0 mg of CBD.

The agency informed that the company sold 768 units with a lot number of 1000321. The affected people are asked to return the product to the retailer from where they have purchased. Customers can also call the Cannabis NB helpline number.
